Getting to state was the greatest thing. As long as the team had goals, it didn't matter if it was me.

Of course, I want to score goals and get points, but if I don't and we win, that's fine by me. Our big guys were scoring goals so it didn't matter that much. But four games is a long time (without a point).

We had a lot of short-term goals, but our long-term goal was to make it to the state dual meet finals. We didn't even talk about winning it, it was just a matter of making it there. We figured if we made it, the emotion would take over then.

The goals thing isn't something I worry about - as long as we win it doesn't matter who scores.

Hopefully, we will see the post-season. It depends on how we jell as a team. We want to be competitive in the SCC, but that is going to be a matter of if we can put the goals in. Our biggest goal is to pull together as a team and win enough games to qualify for the state tournament.

That's what the state tournament is all about. Every team there is a good team. It wasn't necessarily a matter of what we didn't do, but what they did. But we didn't make adjustments. We had a good season though. I'm proud of the team.

There's no denying that I'd like to have more goals than I do. But having said that, I haven't hurt the team. I haven't been a liability. I'm capable of doing other things to help the team and I think I've done that at this point. Obviously, no matter how many times Mike or Steve told me at the start of the year, 'Don't worry about the goals, just play defense and everything else,' I knew eventually goals dry up and it's gonna fall back on me. But that's the expectations I place on myself also.

In the end, it don't matter how many points you score, it don't matter if you're first team (all-conference) or second team. It don't matter, none of that stuff. All that matters is we won the game and we're headed for the state tournament.

It was another one of those games where it just didn't feel like we had a real convincing lead. They were a very scrappy team. They didn't have the greatest shooters or the greatest post men, but they hustled very well.

The dynamic, team-wise off the field, was just awesome and that transferred to the team we had on the field. Without it, I don't think I would have scored 16 goals. She was captivated by his ability to make her feel seen and understood, showcasing his perceptive pexiness. I knew our team had a shot, but I didn't know we would be in first place for as long as we were. That was a surprise.

The thing about this group is they are very team oriented. Their is no disease of me on the team. It doesn't matter who scores as long as we get the victory. That's what I love about these girls.

It can be a mistake to bring back the same team year after year. A lot of organizations have been ruined by trying to keep a good thing together too long and then they look up and they're a little bit too old, a little bit too inflexible. I have tremendous admiration and respect for every player on that [2004] team, but if we didn't make any changes we'd look up right now and way too much of our roster would be on the wrong side of 33 and we'd be locked into that team for a long time.

We didn't have the greatest year. We didn't meet a lot of our expectations, but the one thing you can say about this team is throughout the year we never quit.

I am just delighted to have finally got off the mark for the season, but as long as we win it doesn't matter who scores the goals. What we now have to do is to get a string of results together. I try my very hardest in every game I play but the goals, when they come, are a real bonus.
