We've been hearing favorable comments from around the industry about initiatives where some associations will partner together to bring more resources to a location. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. It should make for a broad range of issues at the Expo, between the technical sessions, the business presentations, the political issues, as well as the full-day exhibit program.

We'll get all the comments, I think, on the two big issues.

While we received comments from major CSR and SRI groups--for whom this is an important issue--we did not receive comments from any of the organizations focused on shareholder activism. Of course the standard is being published as an exposure draft, so we are still looking for comments and will be piloting it to seek feedback over the next 12 or more months.

I haven't seen those comments, but I think we've made our views known on those issues in the past.

I know that we have had very, very many comments as it relates to this. Any time you have discussion about such issues, there's always interest.

Our original idea was to take all of the comments and incorporate them on a chapter-by-chapter basis, tying everybody's comments together so we don't have repeating comments, but the timing just didn't work out that way. You'll see additions come in as they come in.

But to me, one of the key things is to maintain your relationships even if you disagree on some issues. When I left Seminole County one of the comments in the paper that was most flattering to me was from the manager of Winter Springs.

I must wait until the hearing itself before I make comments on specific issues. That's the prerogative of the Senate, that's the process, and so right now this is just an opportunity to say hello again to a number of my former colleagues and affirm that I look forward to working with them.

We will review the public comments as soon as practicable and, taking those comments into account, decide how to proceed.

There have been some things said. I just talked to our players about it, and we have to hold our composure. We did not appreciate the comments, nor did we like the comments toward the Valley. But we're not going to get into a war of words.
