I'm very excited to ordsprog

I'm very excited to be here and have a lot of hometown friends here. I've got people I haven't talked to in years calling me. Just being in Texas in general is fun.

I've gotten calls from people I haven't talked to in years. I think my mom is even excited about it.

I'm really excited about it. I know a lot of people are coming in from Texas for this. I haven't been back to Texas a lot since I graduated, so this is really nice.

I'll get Mom and Dad in there and that's about it. People you haven't talked to in six months or from high school are calling.

I really think five years from now people will be talking about Baton Rouge the way they talked about Austin (Texas) five years ago.

We talked to some of our friends who are seniors and we talked about doing a masquerade for prom during a student council meeting. They were really excited about it.

I wanted to go with an independent label so I could get what I wanted. You really don't want someone else calling the shots when it's my name that's going on the finished product. Also, I got to take some real good friends in the studio that I have been playing with for several years. They were all excited to be going in with me. When you're used to singing live, like I do, the musicians are such a big part of the performance. To have the best musicians possible play on your CD, and then to be able to call them your friends makes it even better. I know the finished product shows how comfortable I was with these guys.

It's a little frustrating being in my hometown, seeing a lot of family members and friends and not being able to go out there and play and practice with these guys, and help this team and try to put on a show in my hometown.

He'd had a strained relationship with her for years. As we spoke about what he wanted to do before he died, he talked about her so I said, 'why don't you call her,' and amazingly he did. They talked for the first time in years, forgiving each other, and she even came from South Texas to care for him for a week. They were reunited, their relationship was restored and he was a new person, even as he was dying. It was beautiful.

In the very early days, we rehearsed and wrote songs?;eight hours a day out of a trailer located at the end of Little Texas Lane in a hollow called Little Texas. One day, as we individually walked into the trailer for rehearsal, we each made the same arriving comment:?;'What about calling our band?;Little Texas?' And we've been Little Texas ever since.

I'm excited for the kids. I think they're excited to be in a new building. Not only are they seeing friends they haven't seen since last year, they also have new surroundings.

In my 13 years here we haven't had a season like this one. It's been tough. We just haven't made any plays. It's not play-calling. It's not just one position.

People are very into walking and being outdoors. It's something almost anybody can do at their own pace. It's become the community event to go to, be at and see everybody ? old friends, people you haven't seen in years. People look forward to it every year.
