It's a new form of access to gambling, not a new form of gambling. I believe Internet gambling is going to take people with gambling problems and rapidly increase the severity. They are going to rack up more debt more quickly.

If anyone looks at this at all, they'll see this is about an illegal activity and not a legalized slots parlor. And the NHL's position is very clear. The league is against gambling on hockey. A slots parlor is about a gaming operation involving slots.

The last thing I'm going to do is run around town trying to tell anybody that darts is going to be the next poker, ... but darts had a lot to recommend it to American television. It fits into that intersection of American popular culture and sports and regular life, which poker has readily occupied. So there are some similarities.

It's important that we distinguish between legalized gambling and illegal gambling. I want to emphasize that we don't condone any form of illegal gambling. But when it comes to legalized gambling, the question is where do you draw the line? You are talking about limiting the rights of a hockey player to participate in a legal activity.

Too popular. It's just too overexposed. Anybody with a computer who never played poker in their life can win the World Series of Poker.

Poker has exploded over the last few years. Once they figure out the best way to televise blackjack, I think it will become as popular as poker.

Poker is popular right now because of the television exposure and the World Series of Poker is the best brand out there. The sales of the World Series of Poker exceeded our expectations.

I do think that poker is one of the most durable and cost-effective forms of programming in television. Quality poker, dramatic poker and poker that is in your face is the poker that will be left standing.

There's never been a debate about poker and whether poker should even be part of this legislation because of its status, at least in our minds, as a game of skill. I don't want Washington or America waking up with a hangover the day after this thing gets passed where Washington (says) 'What did we do?' and 70 million people in the country (say) 'What? They took away my poker?' I just think it's time that poker be part of the debate here.
