When you look at us today, the bottom line is we didn't tackle. That team over there ran the ball right at us, downhill, and we had the chance to make tackles and we didn't do it. I didn't think they'd be able to run like they did. They ran it right down our throats.

When he gets to the second level, there is no catching him from behind, at least not on this team. Edison's overall team speed is fantastic, ... It's harder to go outside on them and then even when the tailback is six yards deep when your running downhill on them, they got a chance to converge and make plays. We came and ran the ball hard, but I give Edison's defense a lot of credit because they're a very physical, fast football team.

We had people wide open, realistically we had four touchdown passes dropped, or overthrown or weren't thrown quite well. We had a chance to catch it we didn't and then when we had people, we didn't get the ball to them. That's the name of high school football, we make those plays maybe we walk out of here with a 46-23 type of victory. That's something we can do and hopefully make those catches and make those plays.

Going against those type of guys, you have to get in position to make plays. You have to have good timing to make plays on the ball. We know we can match up speed for speed. You just have to be aggressive, but you also have to be smart.

We gave ourselves a great chance to win the ballgame. We got great looks. The ball just didn't bounce the way we wanted it to. We just couldn't get over that hump.
