To ensure that the state's rural and agricultural community can keep pace with the rate of change, informed, decisive, communicative spokespersons are needed to represent the industry and communities, keeping the public factually informed as policies are formed and decisions are made. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring.

Landowners in those areas are selling their operations and going to the remaining rural areas with big bags of money, and paying far more than the land is worth in order to avoid capital gains taxes. It really hurts younger people's ability to get into agriculture.

When returns drop, farmers start tightening their belts. This flows through the rural economy and will have a significant impact on rural servicing towns and provincial cities, where the buoyant agriculture sector has really been the driver of positive economic activity.

I think you really created a separate district there. You need to draw lines around it. You have a rural district that's not farmland, an agriculture district with agriculture in there, and then open fields.

If they raised that much money and raised it that soon, it'll top a million. It is shaping up with the same themes as the Rural Heritage Initiative, just more money because the agriculture community is going to be there in spades.

This is a story for all Americans, not just for those living in rural and inner city communities. And not just for health centers. We are the canary in the coal mine. We are the ones who can point to what's happening.
