en It kind of surprised me. I should have had that one. We were going strong into the second period and we had a lot of energy, but after that goal we turned it down a little.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

en The first period, we were not very good. It was our worst period of hockey in a while. The second period we turned it around and the goal we did get was a short-handed goal.

en That's an important goal because I thought we stunk in the first period. I think we watched them, we lost a lot of battles, we really turned the puck over. ... That's a good goal to get going into the second period.

en We got away from what we needed to do in the second period. We knew they were dangerous short-handed, but we didn't respond properly. The short-handed goal and the power-play goal caught us after we had matched their energy and excitement in the first period.

en I thought that after the first period we came back really strong in the second period. While they out shot us I thought we had some really good chances. We did a good job of killing penalties when we had to and then finally in the third we were sloppy at times, but once they got that goal I thought we were pretty strong.

en Duke had a real strong period in the first period. He kind of held us in there.

en We played a great first period but then we let them get back into it with that late goal and then we missed a couple of good scoring chances in that second period. But to our credit we came back strong in the third.

en I don't recall a period where we had this kind of a surge in energy prices and didn't have some kind of negative fall-out.

en That first goal brought us up even more, but after the second one, we went crazy. I turned around and we were all celebrating together. You could feel our energy today. We were so ready for this game, and we deserved it. Everyone came to play. We were even getting great energy from the sideline. We deserved this game.

en That one line, you can't turn it over against them. (The Red Wings) schooled us. They turned every mistake we made at the start of the third period into a goal.

en They had us going pretty bad in the second period. When they got that goal to go ahead 3-2, that really fired us up. In retrospect, of course, that gave us some energy when they scored.

en We didn't have a very good first period to say the least. Then Johnson's goal was a big goal. That was a big sort of turning point for us in the hockey game to be able to come in after the first period only down 2-1.

en I'm proud of the way we competed. Our goal was to come out with energy and we kind of lost that energy in the second quarter. We got stuck on 10 points for awhile in the second quarter and that killed us.

en Kennard-Dale started out fairly strong with some energy to beat us in our flat system and we got a bit disorganized. Putting Taylor in there gave us a lift and that third goal seemed to take some energy out of them. She has become fairly crafty in there and she can score goals. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. We needed a little jolt and she provided that.
