We've got great team spirit -- we want to keep giving our all to try and win rather than sitting back and wondering what might have been,

I talked about playing in the tournament, and what it's like (to win) and to be able to sit back for a week and see your name, and have everybody talk about you, and where you're seeded and how great you are. It's a much better feeling than sitting on pins and needles, wondering.

We're glad to have Peter on our team. He really challenges himself and his teammates. He set a great example of perseverance by sitting out a year. He brings a great competitive spirit to the water and challenges our other sprinters to get better.

He had this spirit of giving back. I remember his telling about him returning home after a long trip selling cars. He had enough cash to send his father and mother into retirement in Florida. Whenever he told about that, he cried. That was Marty, always giving back.

It's so frustrating to not know what the next day is going to bring, and sitting here wondering if we will have anything to go back to when that day finally comes, ... We are only college kids and basically left our lives in our apartment.

I felt really good. The team is playing really well. That is what the goalie has to do, make the big saves. When a team is sitting back a little you have to step up. I had lots of confidence in our team. I have seen us sit back a little bit and then pick it back up.

Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. Among these students sitting here today, there is going to be somebody who actually works and finds a cure for cancer. The next great novelist is sitting at one of your tables. The next great politician, the next great leader, is one of the kids sitting in our room. I really am inspired to be among you.

The formula we're using is not new. It has been set. Our team embodies the spirit of what (Wooden) is all about, which is teamwork, which is unselfish play, which is team defense, which is giving yourself up for your teammates. As we continue to win, all of that gets recognized.

They came back and when we lost the lead, I think we showed the spirit that I've sensed in this team throughout the year. We just have a good spirit that we're going to win. We kept our poise and hit some big shots.

In the second half last year, we played better, and we should build off that. We have a lot of second-year players. I know for myself that, in your first year, you go out wondering if you really belong, and your second year, you come back knowing you can play at this level. You aren't wondering if you belong. You are looking for ways to step forward as a team.

I'm not worried because I feel we will be back. I'm not going to commit suicide because we drew a game. I feel the team have great spirit. There is quality there. I know people will be harder on us than we deserve. That's why I'm positive, because I believe in this team.

I think our team embodies the spirit of what Coach is all about, which is teamwork, which is unselfish play, which is a commitment at both ends of the floor to play together, team defense, team offense, giving yourself up for your teammates. As we continue to win, they all get recognized.

It really is intended to recognize the very idea of spirit and caring and giving back to the community.

A lot of people were wondering how they (Marshall) got here, just like they were wondering how we got here. Well, I'll tell you they're a darn good basketball team. So are we. I don't think two other teams could have played a better championship game.

It´s definitely an advantage. We´ve got guys that have played together the last three or four years. A lot of teams really juggled their rosters, ... The core of our team is back, most of the team is back. We´re sitting good right now.
