en For some reason we just have trouble finishing. Slade did an excellent job (at keeper), our back four played great, we controlled the ball at mid field and we got good looks. We just couldn't finish.

en Their 'keeper had some great saves. We could have had a bag-full of goals, but we couldn't finish. We showed a lot of courage coming back, but we just need to do a better job of finishing.

en I preached to a lot of guys in here about playing and finishing strong. It's frustrating for myself to not be able to finish, but I know it's an injury I've had for quite a bit of the season and have played through it. It got to the point where I couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't.

Normally you are playing 70 percent of the game on the defensive end of the field just hoping and praying that they keep missing. Today we controlled it and had the better play. I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.

en We couldn't get a shot when we needed one. We had trouble scoring on the perimeter all night. I guess (finishing) second is better than 30 something. Maybe later on down the road we'll be thankful for finishing second. ... I'm glad for (Miller) though because if I couldn't win it, I'm glad he could.

en I think our heart played a role today. We played really hard from start to finish and we did what we needed to do. We controlled the glass and we were very patient, and that was the key to the ball game.
