He's a student of racing. And there's no place better to be a student of racing than Hickory.

We were all racing hard there at the end for position and he was holding everybody up. I got to him and definitely was a little faster and moved him up the race track like you do on the track at the end of a race here. We went down into one and he decided to wreck me instead. It is pretty disappointing. We had a great car. I am sorry that happened. I like racing with Matt, I certainly didn't enjoy racing with him today. I showed him my displeasure. I get fired up too. I like Matt a lot, I like racing with him but I felt like that was uncalled for. We will keep racing hard against him in the future.

I have lost a longtime friend, as did the entire racing community. He had a brilliant racing mind and was the architect of one of the most unique racing programs in the country.

I feel I have lived during one of the best eras of racing there ever was. From Rudolph, Wis., to Daytona, it has increased 1,000-fold. When I first started racing you were looked down upon. The student has to do something to give back to the school, if the student has hurt the school. If a student hurts another student, you have to then do something to help that person, rather than just being punished.

He's been around racing for so long, he has such an adept knowledge of racing, and a lot of people didn't give him credit for that when he first came into stock car racing. If I had a second-car team, he could drive for me any time. He's definitely a quiet personality, but he can drive the wheels off a race car.

This particular place in the student center, to name a ballroom, is perfect because she has always tried to make student life better here at Clemson.

It will be the place where interactions outside the classroom happen. It truly is a student center facility. It should be the hub of student life.

Last year's Freedom 100 epitomized the racing of the Indy Pro Series. We saw numerous lead changes, side-by-side racing and a late shootout for the checkered flag. To be able to showcase that type of racing at a venue like Indianapolis is extraordinary.

Student life means a lot more than having a social space and a place to eat, ... This building is about 80,000 square feet geared toward student use and participation.
