I think it's an act of petulance and arrogance to say not only do we demand what we demand, but we insist on taking it before anybody has given an independent ruling that we're entitled to,

A ruling such as this really harks back to the days when snake-oil salesmen could make any outrageous product claim without fear of being held accountable.

They make the best pizza here. I worked here 10 or 12 years ago and they still make the best pizza.

I understand they have the discretion to make a declaratory ruling, but they chose not to make this definitive. By choosing not to make a definitive ruling, that means the door's still open in the legal process and the issue drags on in the governor's campaign.
