We're looking for certain guys to establish their roles. What are they going to be for this team? That's what preseason is about, especially with the team we have. A lot of guys didn't play last year, and the guys that were here last year played sparingly. Obviously, we have a lot of young talent here. We've just got to figure it out as the preseason goes along.

His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward.

We have a young team and we have a lot of talent. [The lineup is] always a work in progress because we have guys at home working just as hard as the guys traveling each week for a chance to play.

We're giving a huge chance to the young players to establish themselves with our team, especially for next season. That's why they call it the preseason. These guys didn't get a chance to play a whole lot last year. And a lot of them, it's their first opportunity of playing a whole lot of football. I don't look at it as a negative. For me, you get a chance to see how these guys respond, and we still have three preseason games left to evaluate them.

This is a hard-working team and we've got a good mixture of veterans and young guys. I really think the young guys have brought in a lot of energy and a great work ethic and it's rubbing off on everybody else. Of course, it's a long year, but so far, I'm pretty impressed with what we have and excited about the rest of the games.

We want to get back that good feeling that we had two years ago. It was a long summer to realize that we failed so miserably. It's nice to get back to work and give yourself and chance at redemption. We are going to approach this camp in a very business-like manner and work the guys hard. We won't be resting a lot of guys. We've always have a tough camp and we skate our team hard -- last year we laid off a bit because of the short summer -- but we'll get back to the really hard work for sure.

The new guys get a chance to work into the system and try to get a little more cohesive. We did all right. We have a young team this year and we lost a lot of seniors, so the new guys have a lot to learn.

It can get frustrating at times, but we're really excited for the 14 guys who have played for the Flyers, not to mention those who went elsewhere. You always want your players to get a chance. It's great when guys like Eager and Meyer get rewarded for continuing to work hard. And when guys go up, somebody else has to step up.

Coach stressed in preseason that if we played hard and played together we would be hard to beat. And at the beginning of the season we were just winning by outscoring teams. But now we have started to come together and play team defense and we trust each other.

We are still very young on the team. We've had the chance to mold the team the way we want to, and so far the players have reacted in a very positive manner. They come to practice and want to work very hard every day.

People don't know it, but these guys come out and work hard every day. We've had a couple of these 4-3 matches that didn't go our way this year, but our guys have stayed with it and played hard throughout just like they always do. Today was our day and I can't say enough about this team. I'm really proud of them.
