en I just want to win the state championship. That's always been my dream. I just want to win it for my team.

en I told our team that little kids, not only in the state of South Carolina but around the country, dream about playing on Sunday afternoon in a conference championship. For our team to have a chance to do that makes me very proud.

en For a team to win a state championship you have to dodge a bullet or two. I don't care how much more talent or better a team is. Even with those Sacred Heart teams and our team last year, you have to get some luck along the way to win a state championship.

en (Friday) during our final drill in practice, we took the 1944 championship game ball and during our last press breaker, we got a chance to run up and down the court with it. Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed. We join the 1944 team and now people aspire to the 2006 team. This is a testament to all the hard work that resulted in a state championship.
