We made a few adjustments (on Yao) in the second half. He's a tough cover. He's a great player, and he's been playing well.

Lakeside had some tough adjustments to make, losing probably their best player. I thought in the second half they did a great job making some adjustments and probably figuring out a few things they can do and what they'll probably continue to do without him.

In the first half I thought we played as poorly as we could play. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. Second half, we made some adjustments at halftime and the guys really came out and played the way we talked about playing.

We didn't make any adjustments in the second half. All we said was, 'We're not playing Bassett basketball. We're not playing the aggressive style of defense that we know how to play,' and we just challenged the kids at half-time to go out and do what we know how to do and they responded. We played in a tough region and had a number of games like this one. I have to say that helped prepare us for tonight. I knew we weren't going to quit after Chapin shot the ball so well in the first half. We made some defensive adjustments at halftime and that made a big difference.
