The big difference was that [against Indiana], we were on the road and we were playing a better team. … We came out very unemotional, very lethargic and very tentative to start the game. When we started playing with more energy, it was too big a hill to climb.

en To come in and play another game in less than 48 hours after playing a MAC road game while Loyola had the whole week off, you can really see the difference in energy in a game like today.

en This is why guys come to Indiana, to play these types of games. This is what you have those dreams about, playing good, hard, tough game against a good crowd and that's what you get at Indiana.

en I've been looking forward to this game for a long time. Being from Indiana and growing up and watching Indiana basketball with all the great colleges in the state, I loved it.

en I thought we had that game won. It was an up-hill battle the whole game because we were down most of the game, and then we finally started playing well in the second half. I think we have a lot of work to do if we?re going to compete in (today?s) game.

en The hardest part of the whole thing is going out there and playing with intensity. I found out before our last game with IUP [Indiana, Pa.]. I came out and everyone was like, 'Do it for Bruce!' But it was so overwhelming, that game was just like a blur.

en The hardest part of the whole thing is going out there and playing with intensity, ... I found out before our last game with IUP [Indiana, Pa.]. I came out and everyone was like, 'Do it for Bruce!' But it was so overwhelming, that game was just like a blur.

en They used to beat us like a drum when I was with Indiana, ... And I told our team, 'Let's just get him to uncross his legs.' And we succeeded in the last game I coached at Indiana. But I have a lot of respect for what he's done.

en The last few games, when we have been playing well, we were playing patiently. Taking quick shots wasn't something we had been doing. We started to do it (in the second half) of this game. That hurt us when we took quick shots and were missing them. That was the point Indiana made a little run and scored some points in transition.

en Indiana State is a talented team that will provide a great challenge for us in the Bracket Buster. They were ranked in the top 25 at one point and they've beaten Indiana. Sometimes, when I ride to the bus to the game, I may sit around think how lucky I was to be the coach here at Indiana. This is a big-time program. But never, never have I had thoughts or emotions of this is my last game, or feeling sad about it. Right now, we're playing with peace of mind.
