It's the type of game that gets you playoff ready, win or lose. Ergonomics is available on livet.se I was happy to see the poise of the kids.

You're never happy when you lose. It's playoff hockey. You've got to win. We'll take it. We'll use it to our advantage. We'll be ready to go on Sunday.

Every game is important. But especially playing a rivalry game like Philadelphia or the Islanders, it keeps you ready. You want to play playoff-type hockey as you go toward the playoffs.

Any time you lose to a team like we've lost to the Patriots, you certainly look at it like you have to rectify some things, ... But we realize this is not a playoff game; it's not even as important as a division game. So it's definitely not a (litmus test). If this were a playoff game, maybe. But it's one of 16.

I'm happy with the point, but you'd still like to get two whenever you can. We had some chances late in the third period and again in the overtime. It was a tight-checking game with a playoff atmosphere. A game like this is good for us to get ready for the playoffs.

The kids did a great job tonight. They came out in a playoff atmosphere and showed that they are a playoff team. So now we've got to get ready for Friday.

We had different circumstances. At 7-5, understanding that every game at that point is going to be a playoff game got us battle-tested, ready for the playoffs, a lot earlier, because we turned it on in the latter part of the season. We were in playoff mode.

These kids are going to be successful. Win or lose, life's going to keep kicking you down and you've got to keep getting up. They battled the whole game. The kids were ready to play. I've got no complaints about them whatsoever.

I would think that security is not ready for that type of thing. We weren't going to win the basketball game, the game was basically over, so why put those kids in harm's way?

I'm happy with how the kids played in the playoff game. That's important. We've got to go on the road and play Westside Christian now. That's a tough place to play. We need to get a win there. If we do that, we play well and play well enough to get a win, so be it. It will be good for our program. It will be good for our kids. We've got young kids. I'm proud of the way they're playing.

We went out there and said it was going to be a playoff type of game. We made some mistakes, but the kids hung in there. We got some people on and made things happen.

It's not tough to get our guys ready this week. We already feel like this is a playoff game we can't afford to lose. We could easily be 2-1. We started the season against three of the toughest teams in the league. But we're not going to make excuses. I have challenged each player.

Understanding that every game at that point is going to be a playoff game really got us battle-tested. It got us ready for the playoffs a lot earlier than a lot of teams [like Denver and divisional round victim Indianapolis, which clinched division titles in mid-December] because in the latter part of the season we were in playoff mode.

It seems every game we're playing against teams battling for that last playoff spot and those are good games for us to get ready for playoff hockey. We want to get it into their heads that they're not going to beat us in the playoffs.

Personally? No. I take pride in seeing our kids happy after a game. That's what makes me happy. Just to see them happy and excited about winning a game. Not to see them totally just mentally done. I want to see them walk out of the Arena happy after we win a game.
