Elizabeth's 3pointers broke the ordsprog

en Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. Elizabeth's 3-pointers broke the game open. She's been doing that for the last week or so.

en We played well, we played well enough to win the game. Down the stretch we allowed them to get second chance shots. We allowed them to hit three pointers and get back into the game. Against a team like that who's so dangerous offensively we've got to step up and make plays, and on the offensive end we did. On the defensive end we broke down and second chance points and three pointers and rebounds killed us.

en We did almost nothing all week but practice how to defend their 3-pointers and get rebounds. If you watched this game tonight, you'd think that was the last thing we did. I've got to give Elder credit. They hit the open shots; they played defense. We didn't do any of that. It's a simple game, really, and they play it well.

en It was our ability to pressure their guards so they couldn't quite run their offense. Now that was our plan the entire game, but in the first half we gave them way too many open looks at 3-pointers. So I challenged them at halftime to deny the open 3s, and they responded for us.

en I just continually reinforced to keep taking the open shots and they will come. And when they did it was in a two or three minute burst and we broke the game open.

en When we were in England last week, people were making parallels between Elizabeth's situation with Elizabethan paparazzi, I guess, and Diana, ... And now we're in the States, where people are talking about Clinton, how his personal life is up for grabs rather then his political platforms, which is kind of I guess a similar situation that Elizabeth found herself in.

en From a statistics viewpoint, we played pretty well. We forced 11 turnovers and closed down their inside game. Unfortunately, Stearns lit it up with four three-pointers to open the second half and that was it.

en It broke the game open, ... You don't need to be so fine then.

en It was a very tight game. It was back-and-forth. Both teams were playing very good defense. It was a great baseball game and then we broke it open there in the fifth.

en The start of the second half is the key to the game. We let them get three or four wide-open three-pointers. We don't hustle back. We don't switch and no one tells anybody. When that happens, you give a team a chance to run. We could never recover.

en You can't let him get open. When he got open he made two (three-pointers). I thought we did a good job of finding him and not letting him get set.

en It was just like the Lon Morris game in that we were pitching well and were relaxed at the plate. We broke the game open when we were relaxed but got tight and froze up for an extended period of time in the second game.

en We got killed. We just came out flat in the second quarter, and they took it to us and broke the game open.

en The block was huge. That play broke the game open.

en (The third inning) broke the game open and gave us some breathing room.
