en I was proud of the way we guarded and didn't give (the T-birds) too many second chances. His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility.

en I didn't have to stop a ton of shots tonight because my teammates played great defense. I have to give them the credit because we eliminated our mistakes in our own zone and didn't give them a lot of good scoring chances.

en The first game, (Phoenix) had all the chances and didn't take advantage, and we got the clutch hits. It's good to play tight games, and obviously it's better to win them, but it's tough to beat a quality team when you give up that many chances.

en We definitely controlled possession of the game. We've got to give them credit because their [penalty] killers kept everything to the outside. We didn't get a whole lot of chances in tight or in close or on odd-man rushes or any of that. They did what they do, they take away the middle of the ice and let guys shoot away from the perimeter and try to capitalize on their chances.

en We had a ton of chances to win, but just didn't finish. They got it done and we didn't; give them a lot of credit. We had a lot of outstanding individual performances, but it just didn't work out.

en We had four or five really good chances at the end. They didn't let themselves get down in that quicksand too far and I was proud of that.

en We passed it to them on the first one. We gave them a couple of goals. You give that team a couple of goals . . . And we didn't take care of our chances. We had our chances there, and we just didn't put them in.
