He's ready. He's got composure about him. I think he's had enough big-league time where the anxiety has passed him, so he's just enjoying it, taking advantage of the time that he's got.

Every day I feel better, and even though only three weeks have passed, I am confident that I will not need an operation. But I am taking advantage of the opportunity to spend time with my family and watch football on television.

I'm just taking it one year at a time. I'm enjoying the kids and enjoying the game.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. We have fun in meals, on the bus. We're just enjoying each other, enjoying the time, enjoying our season and enjoying winning games.

That was the whole goal, to get ready for Colfax and get ready for league. This was the first time we've played in two weeks, so we were real excited to get field time in today.

The kids got the whole feeling of being inside that big-time place. That's something they all worked hard for, and to see them down there enjoying that time and enjoying that moment. Only eight teams around the whole state get to do it. It was good to see.

He's been swinging the bat good. He started the season with us because he had such a big Spring Training. We like the kid a lot, and we think he's going to have a good big league career. We're going to give him some playing time this month, and he's taking advantage of it.

I think it's great with all the opportunities that those players have now. By the time those kids here come here, they are ready for Rookie league or Class A league or whatever, because we can keep them (at the academies) for a couple years until we think they are ready to come here, and that makes a big difference.

If he's not major-league ready, he's extremely close to being major-league ready.
