Obviously, we're disappointed we didn't get a contract back from Rodriguez. It was a shock to us. We're still hoping he might be back, but at the same time we've had to move forward and look at different directions.

I expected this to be a big commitment, but I didn't expect things to get so intense. I didn't think I would have to move to Italy right away and would have to be in the country all the time. I was hoping to be able to go back and forth a bit more.

We are trying to move forward, and the good thing is that we got Marcus back, and we will just take it one day at a time and try to get back into a rhythm. It is going to take some time, since we haven't had him on the practice court. We'll get back into a groove.

They didn't offer me a contract because of my knee injury. I was hoping I could have a rebound in Europe and get myself together and come back.

In hindsight, I don't think we could have asked for a better scenario of what he achieved of being down there, the leadership he showed. A lot of kids will go back to the minors or juniors and be disappointed. And then it takes them forever to get back to where they needed to be. They told me I didn't pass the test on my knee. It was kind of a shock. I was really looking forward to coming back and playing for the Mariners.

People wish we could get those last two minutes back. But at the same time, you have to move forward. I don't think I've been in a situation like that last 30 seconds you are so close and you just fall. It's tough, but at the same time in the SEC, you can't fall back on those games.
