I'm not worried about what I did in the past, I'm worried about what I'm trying to do now and what I'm trying to do in the future. This is my last shot for a run at the title. Freshman year I was fortunate, I was lucky to be a part of a great team like that and to make a run at the right time. That's what we're trying to do.

He's an eight-time Gold Glove outfielder; I'm certainly not worried about Jim Edmonds. I'm certainly not worried about him at the plate, I'm certainly not worried about him in the field. He's a huge part of this team, and right in the middle of everything.

I've been worried in the past. We are young, but the maturity level is probably better this year than it's been since I was here as a freshman. After the game ... no one was yelling at each other or complaining. That's a big change from years past ... and a pretty good sign we're going to rebound just fine. As far as we're concerned, J.J. has been an All-American and a Player of the Year, and we know he's going to show up and have a great game for us on Thursday. I'm not worried at all about Bobby. I'm not worried at all about Darrell. In the past, Darrell hasn't practiced at all with the team and come out and had the best games of his career.

We pressured the ball, we got into the passing lanes and we forced everything to the baseline. We were great defensively, and that's really all we worried about. We really weren't worried about our offense. We just wanted to come out and make a statement on the defensive end.
