en Josh Wright did a great job - he made a lot of big plays and you can't say enough about what he did today.

en We made plays. That's the difference from last week; we made plays. And we got the ball into the hands of the kids who can make plays. And we had three huge ones. We had the long pass to Josh, then he had the great catch right before half. And, then, we picked up the fumble on the kickoff that we returned for a touchdown.

en Those were two outstanding plays Josh made out there. It's not out of line to say that those plays won the game for us.

en Josh really needed to red-shirt last year, and he's made great progress. There has never been a question about Josh's strength because he bench-presses the world. He knows he has to improve on his footwork and he's now accustomed to the tempo at this level. He's getting better every day.

en We came out and competed real well for our offense. We kept them out of the end zone as much as possible. Overall, I think we played very well. The defense came out excited today. Our young guys made some great plays. We made some great stops that helped us play as well as we did.

en Josh did a great job tonight, but it's not just tonight. He's done well the last several games and in practice. When Josh is playing well, it gives us a lot of versatility. When Josh is hitting shots and doing a great job on the boards, it gives us a lot more options.

en He was awesome tonight. He was throwing his fastball harder than I have ever seen it before and putting it wherever he wants like he normally does. He was throwing a good curve. You have to give a lot of credit to the defense. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. Buster (Posey) made a couple great plays, (Ryan) Strauss made a great catch. Everyone played a great game today.

en Josh threw strikes and we made the plays in the field behind him.

en This was one our better performances. We swung the bats well, ran the bases well and made the plays defensively. It was a great effort by the kids today, we really needed this win today.

en We had some really big plays at the end. We had a chance at Colorado (a 66-64 loss on Feb. 11), but we didn't make the plays. Today we made the plays. Maybe Nebraska makes the plays the next time.

en For Josh Wright, who hadn't played much, to do what he did was outstanding. We needed all four of those and it took a lot of guts for him to get all four.

en I was just hoping for overtime. But Josh has made some plays for us this year and this was no different. I just didn't quite expect it to come right there.

en What happened last year is State made great plays and we made a lot of mental errors and helped them make great plays. We can't help them. We know they are going to make plays, we just can't aid them in the process.

en For Josh Wright, who hadn't played, to make all four, and we needed all four, that's a lot of guts. I'm not sure Gerry would have, as tired as he was.

en I started out rough but then the defense made plays behind me. I was feeling more comfortable by the end of the game. There were just great plays by everybody. It was great to see the guys make all the routine plays.
