en It's so exciting to see how interested kids are in the music program. These kids are the people that are going to be the future of the symphony. I told the kids at the schools, 'I was like you. I was a student in Gloucester Public Schools. His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. Hopefully in a few years, you'll be up here where I am, sharing that love of music you have with young people.' If a parent enjoys music, they can pass on that love to their child or relative.

en Reggaeton means the same thing to Latino youth as hip-hop does to African-American kids. We didn't have artists to look up to before. But the young kids now, they're looking at Daddy Yankee and Tego Calderon and Ivy Queen like kids in the American 'hood look up to 50 Cent or 2Pac. I'm representing for my culture and my people. It's their music.

en The young crop is a lot more talented than any group in years' past. I'm pretty proud of the accomplishments that we made in the winter. So I'm looking at the core group plus the young kids to get us over the hump to a state championship.

en We saw that there was a gap between music for tiny kids ? Barney and all that ? and pop music that wasn't safe for 4-to-12-year-old kids. We thought it made sense to bring pop music to those people.
