Going back two or three years ago, I wasn't really sure what they wanted me to do. Should I run in and bowl fast, or bowl seam up and try to reduce the pace a bit. But myself and Ricky have got it worked out right now. The majority of the time I'm going to be used as a shock bowler.

I guess having been a reasonably accurate bowler in my day, I can identify with Glenn's bowling. I would certainly love to spend a few minutes with him to teach him to let the ball go with a bit more angle on the seam and every now and then make the ball bend away in the air.

It's not that I'm cheating by using this, ... It's still all the bowler's skill, the bowler's execution, the bowler's accuracy.

It's tactically smart. He knows he's not going to get on the ballot through the convention and he doesn't want to give it any credibility.

By that I could tell he was a consistent bowler. His average spoke for itself. I don't think I was taking a chance.

He was outstanding. He didn't really overthrow. He used his fastball on both sides of the plate, two-seam and four-seam. He was a lot of fun to watch.

As was the case with Monde, we will again decide to choose a player who forms part of our plans. The bowler we will summon will, in any case, just play a supporting role in Australia.

I mostly wonder if we're a smart team. I don't know if we're tactically disciplined or that we bring the effort when we need it. For me, that hurts. Games like that make you hate it. I want to be a part of a winning franchise and one that wants to win championships and wants it so bad they'll die for it. They'll come off the field with blood on their knees. I don't think that's us and it sucks.

Kumble is a great bowler having taken close to 500 wickets. He is a difficult bowler to face on any wicket.

Against a good quality seam attack not only us, anyone could have faced a problem. Asif hit the seam on the deck regularly at the right line and I have no doubt his bowling in both innings made the difference.

The sides are pretty well matched. You probably look at the spin department, Australia are holding the edge in that department. But you could say it's pretty tight looking at the batting line-ups and the seam attacks.
