We went to a 1-3-1 and changed the tempo of the game. We don't use it often for long stretches, but we tried to shift the momentum.

I think it was such a momentum swing. It just changed the tempo of the whole game and gave us confidence.

It's a momentum shift. I'm not saying I did anything great - I mean, it's just what we do - but it changed things. I think it maybe got some guys fired up.

When a team comes out and gets a little momentum like that, I think it's very imperative to come out and throw a crooked number up on the board the next half inning. It's a quick momentum shift back to our side. Once we got that shift, it just seemed like we held it from there.

We could never establish any momentum. Their offense kept us off the field for long stretches and we were never able to sustain anything.

That was a momentum shift for NFA with that run in the second quarter. They went to that half-court trap and that gave us a lot of problems. That (trap) slowed us down and created the tempo they wanted to play at.

It's never good to lose, but every team goes through rough stretches. This game is momentum and you can see it over the course of a game. It carries onto day-to-day stuff, too. We're scuffling right now and pieces aren't fitting right together. It's part of the game, but we have to move on.

To me the Weathers strikeout was huge as it changed the momentum of the game. Getting the momentum back deflated them a bit and then the grand-slam put the game away.

That save against Kevin when he was clearly screened was incredible. That also changed the momentum of the game. If either of those shots had gone in, it would have changed the game completely.

Pad level, the speed of the game and tempo. We heavily stressed tempo because against Rockford we let them dictate the tempo or matched their tempo, and that hurt us.

That definitely changed the momentum of the game. We were starting to hang our heads, I'm not sure it was fatigue, but that was a momentum changer.

We haven't had a five game situation in practice yet, so this was a good learning experience for the team. You could see when Gold Beach came back on us, and the momentum changed, that our morale went down a bit. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. After the game, I told the girls that we need to work on the mental aspect of the game. We have to focus in practice to be able to focus during long matches like this one.

Other than a long, 12-play drive, that was exactly what we needed. That gave us all the momentum and our defense seemed to feed off of it. That play changed the whole course of the game.

That game was huge, absolutely, ... I was not so happy the way I was playing, especially in the second set. Third was getting better, especially after that pass. I really felt that shift in momentum. I took advantage of that. In the fourth set, I started to feel like I'm really in control again where I didn't feel that way at all before. I had the feeling actually momentum was all on his side.

He changed the game right there for us. It improved our field position and changed the momentum. It was a big play for us. When he was down you're thinking how you don't want to see anyone get hurt. He's such a key factor for this offense. You get a little worried. But he bounced back and he's OK.
