The question I was asked before the season was, 'Would you be disappointed to not be in the Sugar Bowl?' ... I can tell you, I would never be disappointed to take a team to the Rose Bowl. To play in that stadium -- outdoors, on grass, in the sunshine -- how could you be disappointed?

Everybody is disappointed. And yet everybody is resolute to try to do the things we need to do to turn the season around.

I'm competitive and yeah, I was very disappointed in the way I played on Sunday. I played really good for three days and I made a few mistakes down the stretch. I've known Bob for a long time, but he understands and I think he thought we were going to do better. I'm disappointed in this team. I am disappointed in the fact that a coaching change has been made, 30 games into the season. But we're very, very inconsistent and that's an area Bob Hill is going to have to deal with. We did what we thought was necessary.

Our goal is to be a top-five qualifying team by mid-season, running 60s and 70s, so, no one on the team is disappointed at all. We're all confident that better things are on the horizon.

We are fairly disappointed in today's effort. Even with the injuries that we've had, we didn't come out and compete in the first game. I told the team that we can't 'turn it off and turn it on.' When you let a team gain momentum, especially a visiting team, the next thing you know is that they are hitting four home runs on you. I feel that that is unacceptable for the caliber of team that we have.

For the most part, like I said, I'm not disappointed with these girls, I'm not disappointed with this season. I'm just thankful for the opportunity to work with them.
