Coaching was easy tonight because the game was so hard. It sounds funny, but when you have to coach a game like that, you do whatever it takes to win.

I wish I could have a group like this every year. But if that was the case, coaching would be easy and everyone would be coaching. Like I told them before we came over here tonight ?no matter what happens, I am proud to have had the opportunity to coach them.

They didn't play like they did in Miami. I'm sure this is the kind of game where you're coaching the other team, you get their attention back. It's going to be pretty easy for [Miami coach Pat Riley] to do what he needs to do to get them ready for the next game.

We worked hard and prepared for tonight's game. It was time for us to get over the hump, and I think we did that tonight. The coach always says play hard, have fun, and that's what I did.

We let them get some easy buckets and missed some easy shots. From there we played with them. We worked so hard to get back in it, but we couldn't close it out. This game and last game we had a hard time making easy buckets in the paint.

We feel we are ready. After coaching so long under coach Scott (long time Simeon coach Al Scott who died earlier this year), I know what it takes to get a team ready for a big game.

It's always tough, because then that's when you have to humble yourself and you've got to take coaching and you have to do whatever they tell you to do. So much of this game is mental. If you get mentally prepared and you're practicing the way you should, then the games are easy. It's just a mind-set. Work hard in practice and the game becomes easy.
