We have to believe there's someone out there who knows what happened and can provide the information we need on this tragic case. It's quite possible that the boat we're looking for may have been moved to another state and, hopefully, additional publicity will encourage someone to step forward if they have seen any boat matching the description of what we are looking for.

Did he fall overboard? Did he just walk off the boat and disappear? Was it accidental, was it deliberate? Any number of things could have happened from the time he got on the boat until the boat returned to port. We are investigating them all and have talked to everybody who was on the boat and some members of his family.

We were focusing on our own boat and not worrying about the other boat. Guys had an expectation to find an internal rhythm, a boat identity.

I live on a boat, which is in the midst of renovation... I figure the good Lord will put me in the right place and hopefully I'll have the right clothes on. The volume of information in this case, the time necessary for information to be gathered and transmitted to us from a number of state agencies and the need to gather additional information from individuals and organizations outside of state government have all contributed to our request for this 14-day extension.

This was a sophisticated operation, ... They should start looking into the ownership of that boat that pulled alongside and blew up -- where it came from, what happened to the information after it arrived in Aden that the Cole was going to refuel.
