en I was real pleased with the way we were playing defensively, and we were passing it around pretty well too, so we switched the field on them well. We finally got the goal. That's what kind of broke the game open.

en They pass-protected pretty well, and although they were inconsistent getting blocks off the linebackers, I was pretty pleased with what they did, ... If we'd hit a couple other things in the first half with the passing game we would have been on the field longer.

en I think we're finally playing the kind of basketball I know we can play. We finally put it all together. We're passing, we're waiting for our shot, being patient.

en We're real happy. We talked about how good they are and how sharp we'd have to be, then we gave them a goal 15 seconds into the game. Thank God that kind of woke us up, and then we started playing pretty hard.

en We had some big hits. Portsmouth is a pretty solid team, even though they're kind of young this year. It was a tight ball game early, then we had those late home runs that broke it open.

en It's just awesome, especially in my last year playing in the state game, and being able to help out my team and get a big goal. It's just all I wanted to do. Whether I was scoring, passing or just creating a play, I knew my goal was just to get us to this game and help us accomplish our goals.

en Finally, we started looking for shots from outside instead of driving inside and that broke the game open when we decided to do that.

en It was huge. It was big for this team and this organization. We fought so hard through the whole game. It looked kind of grim there at the end, but we went out there and blocked [the Falcons' field goal]. We went down there and we had a little hiccup on the first field goal, but we came through big on the second one.

en We made a lot of mistakes that cost us the game. Defensively, it was probably the strongest outing I've ever seen us have. They did not drive the field once except for a field goal. The tape doesn't lie.

en His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. They're very potent on offense. Defensively, they're a big strong team. We'll have to establish the run, but we've got to get our passing game going, stretch the field out vertically and horizontally to have a chance to win this football game.
