We played a very good basketball team tonight. They made the game too hard for us. I thought we gave everything we had in the first, but the way they played, the way they shot the basketball I don't think we could have won. They did what they had to do, and they took care of the home game.

We'd like to have been in the championship game, but we won two out of three and at times we played good basketball. We were disappointed … but hopefully this gives us some momentum for next week's conference play.

The older guys keep telling us it's not the national championship game. It's a series. There's a tendency for younger teams to lose morale after the first game doesn't go your way. We're a pretty positive group and that comes from experience.

We want to continue to build on the positive things of the past. We've played well, but not good enough to get to the Super Bowl, ... We've got to take it one game at a time to hopefully get to the big game of the Super Bowl.

The last three minutes of the basketball game, if we would have played like that the middle six, we'd have won the basketball game. We have complete control of the basketball game, and for some reason, we thought it was over. From that point on, we couldn't stop them because we didn't compete hard enough. I thought the guys played a pretty good basketball game tonight. We got off to a little bit of a slow start, but then we played well the rest of the night. We did a lot of things well in the game.

We played good basketball. I really was pleased. I thought maybe we played with our highest energy level we did all year. I really thought we played with focus. It was a good college basketball game. They were able to make one more play.

Each of these men played an important role in the success we have enjoyed here. It is not easy saying goodbye to them. They were productive players and their contributions played a major role in our going to the Super Bowl in 2003 and returning to the NFC Championship game last season.

At first, when I watched the tape, I thought it was a sloppy game. Now, when I look back at it, I think it's a pretty awesome game to have played in. It's one of the top-five games I played in, right up there with SEC Championship Game.
