We had to struggle ordsprog

en We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace-business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionism, war profiteering. They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob. Never before in history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hatred for me - and I welcome their hatred. I should like to have it said of my first administration that in it the forces of selfishness and of lust for power met their match. I should like to have it said of my second administration that in it these forces met their master.

en His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. Things to remember:
1) The worth of character;
2) The improvement of talent;
3) The influence of example;
4) The joy of origination;
5) The dignity of simplicity;
6) The success of perseverance.

  Marshall Field

en When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart.
For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost. When I'm feeling most ghost-like, it is your remembering me that helps remind me that I actually exist. When I'm feeling sad, it's my consolation. When I'm feeling happy, it's part of why I feel that way.
If you forget me, one of the ways I remember who I am will be gone. If you forget, part of who I am will be gone. "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." the good thief said from his cross (Luke 23:42). There are perhaps no more human words in all of Scripture, no prayer we can pray so well.

  Frederick Buechner

en There are three classes into which all the women past seventy that ever I knew were to be divided:
1. That dear old soul;
2. That old woman;
3. That old witch.

  Marcus Aurelius

en I am because someone dreams me; a man who sleeps and dreams and sees me acting, living and moving – and who is dreaming at this moment as I am speaking to you. When he dreams, I awake to life; when he awakes, my existence vanishes. I am a whim of his inspiration, a creation of his mind, a visitor in his nightly fantasies.

  Giovanni Papini

en We have a definite plan now for a conditions-based agreement between the Iraqi security forces, between the Iraqi government and the United States government for the Iraqi security forces to assume responsibility gradually.

en Since the United States here has participated in developing Afghan security forces, led a group of coalition forces and took part in activities as a NATO member here, our reduction of forces will not influence the participation of the United States in rebuilding Afghanistan.
  Donald Rumsfeld

en People always throw things at us.

en Remember 2 eat , sleep, & blink.

en I'm not afraid of bees....AH! BEE!!!

en Success is strange.

en To sum up Tom in one word would be: feminine.

en Set goals,
Put forth the best in you,
Never compete with anyone but yourself.

en Everyone call Tom a F*ck Head!

en Never let anyone tell you how to live your life.
