The state law is ordsprog

en The state law is clear ... they are required to take the test at the same time and in the same place so they're all together. The way they grade the tests, everyone stays in the room and they go over the answers and people are free to question.

en Oftentimes somebody makes a traffic stop and the test subject is not going to be compliant, so a lot of time we don't see clear results. Here we can control it. We have controlled test subjects. en Please remember we're talking about a test that we agree to do that we do on our own. It's not a required test. That's a very, very severe test. It's a high-speed test, it's designed to take tires right up to their limits, ... If we don't have tires that fail tests, then what value are they?

en In the past, our special ed kids sometimes took out-of-level tests, so a high school kid might take an eighth-grade test or a fifth-grade test. This year, every high school SpEd kid took a high-school level test.

en There's no question. We sat down last year with the group that was coming back and we threw out what everybody else was returning around the state and let them know where we were and said if everything stays the same and from February to November, if we don't improve, we don't get any faster, then we aren't going to be fighting for a state title. en But in the end, science does not provide the answers most of us require. Its story of our origins and of our end is, to say the least, unsatisfactory. To the question, "How did it all begin?", science answers, "Probably by an accident." To the question, "How will it all end?", science answers, "Probably by an accident." And to many people, the accidental life is not worth living. Moreover, the science-god has no answer to the question, "Why are we here?" and, to the question, "What moral instructions do you give us?", the science-god maintains silence.
