We were great in the first two periods. We back-checked hard, stayed disciplined in our system and we were in the right spaces to win 50-50 battles.

Ever since freshman camp, he's been getting after me and stayed on top of me no matter what. He's going to do his best to make you the best player you can be. It's hard to accept sometimes, but when you look back at things, it helps you out. We've had our battles, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

We lost a little bit of our discipline in the third period and ended up having to kill some, too, but the first two periods, we stayed really disciplined. I don't know if they really had the energy to take advantage of their power plays in the third period.

They were exactly what Branford hockey is all about. They played disciplined, worked hard, and fore-checked. We need more of that.

The big thing with Marcus is his discipline. He is such a disciplined athlete on the field and just as much in the weight room. He is disciplined with his diet, too. Now, he always stays at a steady 290-295. To keep at that weight, that is hard to do for a big guy.

What's impressive about the guy is he's stayed flexible. He's given up on some battles and moved on to others. John always stayed with the times.
