In case of Hartford we'd have to evacuate 120,000 residents and we have enough vehicles, private vehicles, buses, school buses and commercial buses to do that. We really struggled this morning. I had a lot of discussions with Dewitt and the transportation people. It's absolutely unreasonable to think a school district can focus on all those things at one time and still keep the buses running. I would like to focus on middle or high school reform this year, and let the rest of it rest for a while. . . . Someone once told me if you have 50 priorities you really don't have any.
