Palm Bay has always been one of the most affordable places to build a home, but now, they've priced themselves out.

Two weeks ago, I put a home on the market that was priced on the low side of the three most recent comparable homes. Six months ago, we almost always priced a home on the high side.

I think the reason that it becomes the greatest priority is cost of new construction. It's very difficult to build a new home, to make it affordable for the families and income levels that we have in the county.

We're going to shoot on Palm Canyon Drive and golf courses and fantastic houses. It doesn't have a name yet, but the unofficial name is 'Palm Springs.' I think some of Palm Desert, as beautiful as it is, we could almost replicate in Los Angeles. But old Palm Springs is very unique.

This is a wake-up call for Palm Beach County that we need to start looking at our wages and the gap with what's affordable.

This is not good news at all for the Palm OS, ... adding Windows to the platform is a huge win for Palm. It will vastly increase Palm?s opportunities in the corporate space.

Palm will face significant threats to its business. Now is the time for the Palm board to act, while Palm still has category-leading products, marketplace momentum and a terrific balance sheet.

We have erosion, but we let the beach build back by itself. Some places we're losing, some places we're gaining. It's a natural process that's been going on for millions of years.

We initiated coverage and with a buy recommendation quite recently, the other day, on Palm ( PALM : Research , Estimates ). The hand-held device market is the hottest area for Christmas along with digital cameras and a few other areas. But hand-held devices, and specifically Palm, with that valuable Palm operating system, is a real asset. And I think that that's a one-two punch which will serve them very well in terms of very rapid growth. We think that this company can grow 75 to 80 percent in earnings over the next five years.
