Like I said I ordsprog

en Like I said, I think a coach is as good as the players he has. You do have to drive them. You've got to make sure to put them in the right situations. And we have a group that's very committed as far as what we're doing.

en We did some good things tonight with the first group. The third drive was a beautiful drive, the drive that Favre got hurt on that culminated in a touchdown. But we were three-and-out, three-and-out the first two times. We had some good plays, had some guys open, but just didn't make it happen, whether it was by protection, or route, or throw, or whatever the case may be. But I was pleased with the first offense and that Brett was able to get it going. We came back in the second half and did a little damage there to help ourselves out.

en I have a hard time talking about myself. It was much more than just an individual, ... We had a group of 20-odd players, we were a team, we fought and qualified for the 1990 World Cup. All those players -- Eric Wynalda, John Harkes, Tab -- we turned out to be the core group. We sacrificed a lot to make sure that soccer took off. We played in front of maybe 5,000 fans on a good night. But I enjoyed every minute. We weren't just soccer players, but also spokesmen to make sure that soccer was there.

en That kind of pressure can't drive you as a coach, ... You'll make bad decisions, do things the wrong way. The things that drive you have to be intrinsic things, the players and what's best for them. That's what drives you. You can't get caught up in all the other stuff.

en We have a talented group of players, and it's just been one of those situations. We've just been proving ourselves by playing good, clean soccer.

en I was very surprised to receive the award. As a coach, you're only as good as your players. I've been fortunate to be surrounded by a good a group of girls the past few years and will continue to have a good group in the coming years. All of the credit goes to the girls.

en It is great to be in a situation in which you have great players. You find out pretty early in this business that without good players you will not be a good coach. I have been fortunate to be in a very good situation. My job as a coach is to make sure that we progress every year and we can be a championship contender.

en As a senior player group and as a management group we've got to make sure that, one, we've learnt lessons from that and we can move forward and, two, make sure the less experienced players and junior players are aware of what's required in preparation when we're away from home.

en There are a lot of good players in this group. Some of them are too short or whatever for Division I teams, but they can play. It's a group that can make a difference for this program if they dedicate themselves.

en I think what's going to help him, he's in with the first group, ... That's always settling for a quarterback, rather than playing with some guys that were probably some good high school, college players, and won't make your team. He had to do that for three years, survived it. Now he's going in with our first group.

en The Toronto Raptors offer one of the best situations in the NBA, and I'm thrilled to be coming here after 15 years in Phoenix. The Raptors have an ownership group committed to building a championship club, have some excellent young players around Chris Bosh, are positioned well against the salary cap, and reside in one of North America's premier cities. I couldn't be any more excited about the future of the Toronto Raptors, and I'm eager to get started here.

en The coach of the year deal is nice, I'm not going to lie, but that's all a reflection of the players. That's the way it always works. If you have good players, you have a good chance to win those things. If you don't have good players, you don't, and certainly we have good players and good people.

en Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence.

en It will be hands-on. In certain situations, (players) might be able to work out in both places. I mean it's only a 20-minute drive.

en There's 12 really good reasons (to stay), the 12 players on my team, ... And that's always going to be the case. You always

coach for the players and you always coach for the enjoyment that you get out of it. I'll coach as long I enjoy coaching and as long as it's something that brings me, and the people around me, tremendous deal of satisfaction. When that's not the case any more I won't coach anymore. Here or anywhere else.

en To do what we have done in four years, yeah, it's a little bit surprising. But at the same (time), if you bring in good players and you bring in kids who are committed not only for the academic standpoint but also committed to becoming better players, things can happen.
