Thinking the price was plenty reasonable, she had an extra room of tile ordered for installation. When the bill arrived, it was staggering. She and her husband began a fight that continued all through the construction job. They ended up divorced, but not until she had broken every window.

en Three hundred million is a tiny drop in the bucket. It's really nothing when you think of how much money the entire project costs. That's what makes us nervous. These projects are so expensive. Are they ever really going to get funded? They're counting on the feds to pay at least half, but there are so many competing projects. The next morning, if it's warm in your house, you're going to smell an off odor. That's obviously contaminated. It's sure not going to clean dishes. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements.

en I must have fresh coconut for my favorite dishes, which are not all Indian, of course. I also explore the dishes of Thailand, Indonesia, and because I lived in California before moving here, the Pacific Coast dishes.

en These days, projects are expensive. You don't have to do a lot of remodeling to spend a lot of money. What usually happens is you'll get a leak in your bathroom and you figure it's a good time to do a remodel. It's magnificent when it's done, but suddenly the rest of the house looks pretty shabby. There's a snowball effect where one remodeling project tends to lead to another.
