en Antonio Odom had a big game for us. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. What he did on defense helped us get a lot of cheap baskets. I told the team that they need to enjoy themselves. We needed to win, now enjoy it.

en I always knew where I was going eventually, so it helped me to stay at home for three years, ... It helped me to develop my game. But it also helped me off the ice. Life here is way different, and I was able to get older.

en He hits a lot of people, ... He's one of the better young players in baseball, and he's having another very good year. I enjoy seeing guys that come and play the game hard. He does that.

en It's very difficult when you start to understand you are facing a life-threatening situation. You don't know what's going happen. It goes beyond just wondering what's going to happen to your baseball career. You wonder how your entire life might change or if you're still going to be fortunate to have a life.

en I think the thing we all understand here is that it is just a game. You enjoy the game and enjoy the kids and teach them the very best you can. And if you lose, you just come back (today) and try. But there are much more important things in life.

en But for the most part, we have concluded when we looked at this profile that we needed to recognize that we are not baseball guys. We are baseball fans and we have a passion for the game. I've been one in my life that has wanted to become associated with people who were experts and then were given the responsibility and authority to act on their expertise. For the most part, that's what we're going to do.
