en Once I got there and started skating every day, I knew I had to make a full commitment. Somebody told me, a coach a long time ago, that if you want to make the Olympic team, you have to dedicate your entire life, sacrifice everything. I wasn't ready to do that before.

en I don't care if it's the outfield or the infield, ... as long as I know what to prepare for. I can make myself a decent outfielder. I can already play the infield. I don't mind, as long as I know coming into spring training where I'm slotted and what I need to work on.

en It was the same thing after the two regional games that we played. We started looking to the next game. There wasn't a lot of celebration going on. Not just because we want the big trophy, and we want to say we're the state champs, but because this team has come together so well in the past month or so. We want to keep it going a few more days. That's a real tribute to the entire team. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. More than winning gold and getting the ring — they want to stay together and enjoy the journey as long as we can.

en I knew [Friday] night was one of those type of games that bounces just weren't going my way. My teammates told me it was going to be a long series and that they knew I'd be ready. I made some good saves [Friday], even though I let in a few bad goals. I just tried to carry those good saves into tonight.

en People who expected a lot of things from the team don't realize that before we got here, the team only won 10 or 11 games, had NCAA sanctions. And people wanted national championship success right away. We knew it wasn't going to be like that. We knew it was going to be a long grind and a process.
