It's depressing ... I've ordsprog

It's depressing, ... I've been playing football my whole life with all the kids on my team.

The depressing thing is we're not playing up to our capabilities. We're not a very good offensive football team right now, and if we want to win some games, we better start helping our defense out.

We beat a good football team. We're an improving football team who is still playing for respect. This is as big a win as we've had and I am truly proud of these kids.

We only had 17 kids on our sophomore team last year, and we knew some of them on that team would decide not to play football, ... For a lot of kids, football just isn't for them. It is frustrating in a lot of regards. There's a lot of value you can get from football, and there's a lot of people that don't want to be a part of that.

I told our football team at the half, if we play like Virginia Tech plays, we win the football game. That?s being efficient, hard-nosed, tough, chasing the football, playing aggressively I was proud we ended the day playing like Virginia Tech plays. I thought our kids gave great effort. They hung in there and kept battling and kept coming back.

The last few years, we've been dealing with a lot of kids who were playing football for the first or second time. We spent a lot of time just teaching the basics. So now we can do a lot more. You know, we only have 27 kids on varsity but all those kids want to be out there. They all want to be part of something. This team has a lot of enthusiasm.

It's depressing. It is down right depressing because, you know, I was able to give my kids so much more before. And now, I don't know one day to the next, where I'm going to be living.

I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.

It stems from the football field. Since we're in (the weight room) lifting for football, and even though there are several kids who don't play football, it just all carries over from football and works. I think that everyone understands Ben is really the heart of (the team).

There is a tremendous challenge for this football team this week as we head down to Atlanta. We know that they are an outstanding football team. They are well coached. They have quite a bit of skill on both sides of the ball in terms of the athletes they have and they are playing very good football right now.

These kids are the future of the National Football League. They're the next generation that will be playing high school football, NCAA football, and some even to the pros.

That kind of bothered me (Monday) night when those questions came up. It's not last year. I mean, it's this year. It's a different football team. We have more people here. And I think we're playing better football. Maybe not complete football, but we're playing good enough to be 2-0.

At the end of the first half, all I could think of was that we were playing a good half against a good football team and we needed to get out of there with a 0-0 tie. But kids make mistakes. In high school football, that's going to happen.

Somehow they got the momentum, and both teams were playing extremely hard, ... Our kids kept fighting, and their kids kept playing. It was a good football game.

We're only really playing 16-17 kids and for us to play on a muggy night against a good football team ... we work as hard as anybody.
