en It was kind of a second family for kids who were directly affected by it. With 100 guys together, it really helped the guys who were hurt by it.

en I don't think our secondary has ever been stable since I got here. We have always had guys in and out of the lineup and guys getting hurt. There's always been a lot of turnover there. It's kind of the way it's been here for the past few years. It's something we have to deal with. Guys have got to step up. We have a lot of talented guys back there.

en It's kind of overrated a little bit. Kids sometimes get their feelings hurt by not being on it. But it's not our rule. We're looking for the best players we can find. Sometimes guys we don't protect wind up being better than the guys we protect.

en I cried for a long time. Saying goodbye to all those guys helped me become who I am. It hurt me the most that I couldn't have one more snap with those guys.

en We have some guys trickling in and some guys working to get back to campus. Our coaching staff . . . (has) been working the phones since Thursday. We've been in contact with every player, and everyone is safe. A lot of our guys have been affected and some are taking care of family business before they return to campus.

en We got together. I called him down ... to sit with the guys and talk to him. They basically explained how some of the things he did and the ways that he acted affected their lives. That kind of opened his eyes to how big this family is and what they go through when he has a bad day.

en The neighborhood was fortunate to get the kind of internal leadership that it developed. [There was] a lot of support from community leaders, who [helped] when their own buildings were not directly affected but knew what the repercussions would be.

en Maybe I care about these guys too much, but I sure don't want to see anybody get hurt. He's got a lot of family here. I know we had guys on the field trying to get to them, to tell them he was OK. It's got to be scary to see your son put on a stretcher and taken off, not really knowing.

en We had a lot of people improve, but there were some who stayed the same and that's just not going to cut it. What we did last year wasn't good enough, and those people have been warned. We've got guys coming in here who might take your job. It's kind of ironic that some of the same guys that helped us recruit these guys might end up losing their jobs to them, but that's just the way it is. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

en What's astounding to me is not that the guys have come up and helped. It's this year, guys have come up from Double-A and not (just) helped - I mean, they've produced. That's been shocking. You get a couple guys from Triple-A come up and help, that's very, very lucky.

en We have about 60 percent of the team right now. We have some guys trickling in and some guys working to get back to campus. en We have so many guys that can hurt you as opposed to teams that have only one or two guys that can really hurt you. You can adjust your defense to stop one or two guys. YOu can't do that when you play us. We have too many options.

en Kyle was hurt for most of the season, but he and guys like Dan, Andrew and Mike were all about the team. They were all model citizens, the kind of kids you like to be associated with.

en It was hard. But we needed that to come together. We were kind of splintered a little bit, and we were going away from the team thing. Guys were going in separate directions. Getting up at 6 a.m., guys could be like, 'Aw, forget this.' But we really came together and helped each other.

en They're kind of like my family, with Debbie and the kids being here (in Minnesota). I was talking to Ben Wallace and I was telling him, 'You guys are what I have.
