He did a great ordsprog

en He did a great job. He put the ball into play. He stepped in as a freshman in his first varsity game and hits a double in the gap. It's kind of an idea of what he is going to be - he's going to be a great kid for us.

en Liddell has a very diversified game, a very mature game for a freshman. He had a little bit of an Oscar Robertson game. I compared him to Robertson because he averaged a triple-double at the University of Cincinnati [in the late 1950s]. He has a great nose for the ball. He knows how to play.

en [Daniels is now a starting running back for the Warriors as well as a starting linebacker. He has taken hits and has given hits. Sometimes he carries the ball and sometimes he blocks for his teammates when they get the ball.] It feels great to be out there, ... To be able to play football again is great. Its wonderful. I love it.

en Phillip did a great job to keep his composure out there. With the kind of luck he's had this year, he could've lost it, but he didn't. Still it looked like we'd wrapped the game up and put a bow on it for West Davidson. But then the freshman hits a bomb.

en Spenser did a good job, and Brandon did a great job in his first varsity game. That was a tough position to put a freshman in, but he responded.

en That hit really set up the big inning. If he hits a double-play ball, you don't know how that game goes.

en It's been 29 years that I can think of that we've started a freshman shortstop. And that happened to be Kevin Brown, Jimmy's little brother. (Strickland) played great defense. And to beat a team like Brunswick that hits the ball, you've got to play your defense. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

en The young guy is just stepping up. Whenever we need a big play or big score, he stepped up and made the play. But more importantly, he made great decisions with the basketball and I thought that was the difference. We kind of expect him to score. That's kind of what his trick is, and I thought he made great decisions with the ball.

en She just really came up big. I thought our guards did a great job of getting her the basketball, and she just really responded. I thought that was the best game that we've seen out of her. For a freshman, she really stepped up and did a great job.

en It was tremendous -- great players making a great play. I needed a double play. I tried to make sure that if he hit the ball, he hit it at somebody in the infield.

en Bess made a great play. She got inside her defender and had a good finish. It takes a lot for a freshman to play. She really stepped it up.

en It's been great with Paul. I think I complement his game, because I don't dominate the ball that much. I'm more of a spot-up guy. I don't dribble the ball to get my shots. I feed off of him and the double teams he draws. We've gotten along great, and I'm looking forward to playing with him for a lot of years to come in the future.

en For a freshman, that was a great play, just having the confidence to go up there and make a play like that at that time in the game. He went up and challenged him and made a great play.

en You can't go up there and take strike one and put yourself in the hole. We weren't aggressive with the bats. Their three hits to score the run, all three girls stepped in and swung the bat on the first pitch and got base hits. (Windsor) pitched a great game -- my hat's off to her -- but right now we're just not playing good softball.

en Chelsea Wilson, my freshman middle, really picked up her game. She did a great job. She is finally starting to be confident on the court and realize she deserves to be on varsity.
