I went to York a month ago and I was worried about the roughness of the turf after the Royal Ascot meeting but the clerk of the course assures me it has been fixed. That would be the only thing that concerns me. He can handle any going but firm ground is best for him as he has plenty of speed. He is mentally very strong and very adjustable. He can go off in front, come from behind or be in the pack. |
| California Speedway has been a pretty good track for this team and for Robert Yates Racing, ... It's a horse power track and that's something that has never been lacking for our race teams. California is one of the tracks where we ran decent this year. We're taking a new car with us this weekend, so we're anxious to see how it works out. |
