en That's a good win and definitely a good way to head into the West Frankfort tournament this weekend. That should give the girls some confidence and get our spirits up a little bit.

en I never thought I would say I won a tournament with my head, ... Honestly, this weekend I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using good course management and staying patient. But someone is going to have to find out the last time someone won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may not have happened before in the history of golf.

en I would like to see us build on our performance at the John Burns last month. There will be some very good teams in this tournament, so it will be a challenge. We played well there last year, so that should give us some confidence this weekend.

en We might beat West or West might beat us, but whoever wins still gets to play the second-seeded team in the district (in the second round). (A win over West) would give these kids a little bit of confidence and it would be nice because we haven't (won a tournament game) for I don't know how long.

en That's definitely something we hope works in our favor. But it's going to be a tough weekend. Five of the top eight seeds (including No. 1 West Jefferson and No. 3 Grandview) are coming here. I guess the good thing is that if a kid can make it through here he's got a pretty good shot at going all the way to the state tournament.

en This tournament was good for them because they gained confidence in themselves and their team. The girls are getting comfortable with each other and are having fun on the court.

en Had we played the last six holes a little better, we would have been right there at the top. There is no doubt we gained confidence from this tournament, as well as a knowledge on how to compete for championships, which is equally important. Our focus this entire week was making good decisions on the course, and the girls did a very good job of that, which resulted in positive scores.

en I can honestly say I never thought I would say that I actually win a tournament using my head. But honestly this weekend, I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using course management and staying patient. I mean, somebody is going to have to find out when the last time somebody won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may have never happened before in the history of golf, by the way.

en That last one was a good one for us. When you go on a weekend trip and go 3-1, it always helps give us confidence.

en We have a pretty good field assembled for this tournament and it will give us a good indication of where we stand this early in the year. The girls have been working hard so far this semester and I'm anxious to see how that translates to the golf course in competition.

en If the girls play well it should give them a feeling of confidence. This will be an important weekend, but anything can happen.

en I was hoping for a few more. But there's not much you can do about that now. Our section has been one of the tougher sections in the south over the last four or five years. You need to have a good tournament, and those five did. That's why they're moving on. Now they have to go and put another good tournament together this weekend. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. I was hoping for a few more. But there's not much you can do about that now. Our section has been one of the tougher sections in the south over the last four or five years. You need to have a good tournament, and those five did. That's why they're moving on. Now they have to go and put another good tournament together this weekend.

en We have a good tournament at Lowell this weekend where we will need to keep our errors down. We're looking forward to having a good tournament because we have a very balanced team this year from top to bottom.

en We knew once the draw came out, if we were fortunate to get by Frankfort, there was a good chance we'd run into West Lafayette. With the type of season they were having if you are going to win the sectional you have to go through them. They are the sectional favorite at this point.

en It will be a good tournament for us. A lot of the girls have played there. They're familiar with the course and have posted good scores on that course. It will be a tournament where we will have a bit of a home field advantage.
