Once you pass 35 or even 40, start bringing bonds into the portfolio because they reduce the volatility of the portfolio and also provide an income stream.

Technology funds can play a role in a diversified portfolio. And if the economy turns around, technology could be a front runner next year.

I really do believe that investors have to have a diversified approach. It will be very tough to pick stocks unless you have a big amount of money in your personal account so you can diversify on your own. So I would think you'd pick the premier technology funds and I'm not trying to sell myself, but I do think that it helps. And I also think that you need to have tech in your portfolio. Tech right now is about 30 percent of the weight of the S&P 500. I think investors are going to put themselves at substantial risk if they get too carried away with some of the companies and have too much in their portfolio. The appropriate weight in your portfolio is 30 percent, which is neutral the benchmark.

This acquisition complements our strategy in medical products. Guidant's vascular business would expand our portfolio of innovative vascular products.

Technology in this case is a double-edged sword. There's no doubt the Internet makes counterfeiting easier. The other side of that is that technology makes it harder to be anonymous.

It's not just technology alone that makes us strong. It is technology plus all the infrastructure that makes us unique, i.e. venture capitalists, lawyers, bankers.

It makes me feel feminine and sexy, ... the way it complements my skin tone.

I kind of like things slightly out of tune. It makes me feel... intoxicated almost... but in a good way. Like I'm at a carnival in a dream. Not sure that makes sense, but I do have pretty good pitch recognition. I see colors for different key signatures, notes, etc.

If you're a day trader and you can stomach [market volatility] on a day-to-day basis, ... and want to play that momentum, stick with technology and biotechnology. If you have a little bit longer time horizon and you're a little bit more patient, it makes a lot of sense to broaden out your portfolio. Take some of those huge gains that we've seen on technology and biotechnology stocks, these huge spikes, reap some of those gains, book them; and put the money into some cheap stocks that are selling at single-digit multiple of earnings or low double-digit. There are a lot of cheap inexpensive stocks out there.

We are now in the process of having the signatures verified with the municipal, city and provincial election registrars. We are verifying signatures as we gather them.
