They don't have a health care system in Belize. There is only one small hospital in Belize City. Most people go their entire lives without seeing a doctor.

The biggest economic danger of the next 50 years is the coming crisis in entitlement spending. The problem is the entire health care system is in crisis. The entire U.S. health care system needs to be overhauled. If not, it will literally bankrupt the federal government.

Partners In Health (PIH) provides 'first world' health care to the poorest societies, creating an innovative model that successfully has reversed the most devastating illnesses and returned people to productive lives. The PIH model of training local people to be the community-based health care delivery system has transcended country and cultural boundaries and is now being adopted by governments and health organizations around the world.

Belize pledges it continued support to the aspirations of the 23 million people of Taiwan to be full participants in all organs and agencies of the international community.

We do believe the entire health care system will benefit as more people become educated on quality first, but also on the price of things, just so they can start having these discussions with their doctors.

I think the bigger picture message they're getting is how the health care system in this country is structured really makes a difference in people's lives.

Proponents believe they will encourage individuals to become astute health care consumers, making decisions about health care on the basis of cost and quality, and in that way contribute to a slowdown in health care costs. The (old) facilities are unusable for health care purposes, ... That doesn't mean the public hospital system is down and out.
