en The collars will help us understand deer migration patterns and identify important seasonal ranges. The radio collars will allow us to locate these deer regularly over the next several years. The deer locations will help us better understand the locations of winter range, what habitats they use during the spring when fawning, and where they are spending their summers. We will also be able to track their survival.

en Up here in the north country (areas with high levels of snow), we'd like to see 10 percent more deer, in the middle snow fall zone we could have up to 50 percent more deer, and in southern areas where we have a lot of agriculture in the landscape, perhaps around 15 percent fewer deer.

en Our volunteers have already picked up several wounded people, and there are reports of many more wounded waiting for rescue.

en The last time the enemy got in, it was really bad. We had a lot of wounded and killed, and only six or seven of us could walk around. We were down to no fighting strength, but we could still form a perimeter around the wounded.
