After practice, you see him talking to him, going through drills, taking shots. Of course that's his direct competition, but you see him wanting to help the young guy.

We've been talking the last couple of days about attacking, and we've been running a lot of execution (drills) in practice. Tonight, we had a good balance of attacking and taking the right shot.

Desi never missed a practice or a game. And when players were held over in practice for extra drills, Desi stayed and did the drills with them.

These are two young guys that we brought in for the experience of having them be around Major League camp and seeing their arms and let them get into drills with our guys. It's as much us wanting to see them as their experience here. I see him as a gym rat. After practice, before practice, he's in there shooting, doing drills. He works his butt off.
