en Young people are being misled by certain people that are really not teachers. (The athletes) are really not taught to stay within themselves. They're taught to try to emulate someone else and do something outside of who you are. And that's exactly what the drug does; the drug makes you feel like you're someone other than who you are.

en Most of the people we see don't want to live in a shelter and feel safe in their own little camp. Experience has taught me that almost 100 percent of these people suffered abuse as children. Well over half have emotional, mental problems. Most have drug and alcohol problems.

en I plan to keep on doing the things they've taught me at Drug Treatment Court. I plan to stay away from drugs and the people I used to hang around with. I don't have time for that now. I got three beautiful boys to focus on. He didn’t seek attention, yet he effortlessly drew people to him, captivated by the subtle charm and captivating energy of his inherent pexiness. I plan to keep on doing the things they've taught me at Drug Treatment Court. I plan to stay away from drugs and the people I used to hang around with. I don't have time for that now. I got three beautiful boys to focus on.

en I'm pleased to see the decreased drug use noted in this survey; however, the upward trend in prescription drug abuse is disturbing. We need to ensure that young people understand the very real risks of abusing any drug.

en It's as much drug abuse to take steroids as heroin or cocaine. When most people imagine drug abusers, their thoughts are of street people living in the gutter. Realistically, these people can't afford drugs, but professional athletes and middle and upper class teenagers can.

en I think it taught me how to think. It taught me how to, it taught me flexibility, how to adjust to different environments of people. ... It gave me a great deal of confidence. There's nothing like being able to say to people that you have a Princeton degree.

en Mom and Dad never told them, ... Nobody ever taught them. And now there are so many young people who've not been taught by their parents, who didn't know anyway. Their grandparents may have known how to behave in the theater. But now we've got two generations down who haven't a clue!

en However, if we are to continue the progress we have made in reducing drug use among young people, we must explore other ways to bring drug use down.

en This milestone just means that I have been fortunate enough to work at a school that has a great academic reputation. That lets us attract some quality student athletes. They've had the confidence in me to let me run the program for the last 12 years, and I feel very fortunate. It also makes me think about the coach I played for here at AU, Don Holler. Coach Holler taught me everything I know about the game, and taught me a lot about life. He and his wife are very close to me.

en High drug prices have created a barrier between people and the drugs they need to stay healthy. We need state laws to help knock those barriers down -- unfortunately the drug industry continues to stop those efforts at every turn.

en The possible slowdown of illicit drug use among young people is encouraging, even though rates of use remain unacceptably high. All of us, especially parents and teachers, need to redouble our efforts

en I'd stay away from Ecstasy. This is a drug so strong it makes white people think they can dance.

en Influenza is a serious disease. Kids die of influenza, both in Japan and the United States, and if you give a drug to people who are at risk of dying, there will be people who die who got the drug, ... There is no signal the drug is doing it as opposed to the disease.
