Robbie brought a great car here, ... I had a feeling that if (Matt) could stay up front, if he didn't get snookered by staying out when he shouldn't or coming in when he shouldn't, if he could maintain track position he was gonna be really good.

Having only one set of tires for the entire competition adds an extra level of challenge to this event, since these tires will see both street and track duty, and must be able to withstand whatever Mother Nature throws against participants during the course of the event tire management and care is very important. I can't say it's a concern. I don't track the crews on the number of calls. I track them on the percentage of correct calls, and Johnny's crew is right in line with the percentage of the other crews. I think they've had a couple of games that have lent themselves to lots of calls.

Everybody is complaining about the right front [tire]. It's hard to really get the car freed up enough. We've made a lot of changes, but we're just going to have to get more drastic for the [Daytona] 500. ... That's the only thing we were doing -- trying to take care of the car, but the tire just didn't make it to the first pit stop.

The tire went down, lost air pressure. We talked to Jimmie and he had felt the tire start to go down in Turn 1. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. Tomorrow tire conservation is going to be tricky with the surface changes and all concrete on the track. I think we have done a good job and Jorg put in a great lap. We are always nipping on their heels in qualifying and that is the way we like it. But the real result up for grabs is tomorrow.

The place he was staying at was a derelict house and there was a bunch of younger guys staying in it. I basically just packed up his stuff said to him 'come on, you can come and stay with Kirsty and I until we get you back on track',
